BMW Motorrad has just teased a new naked street fighter motorcycle ahead of its global debut, which is set to happen on October 1st at 5 PM CEST. At first glance, this upcoming BMW street fighter appears to be the widely anticipated F 450 R, which is a street naked version based on the company’s new 450 platform.
BMW 450 Naked Street Fighter Motorcycle Teased
The company has massive ambitions to expand their entry-level multi-cylinder motorcycle family which currently just has one ADV Tourer. We’re talking about BMW’s 450cc motorcycle family which comprises of F 450 GS ADV Tourer bike, which could soon be accompanied by a street naked motorcycle.
Going by BMW Motorrad’s previous naming strategies, this upcoming street fighter might be called BMW F 450 R. If there is a supersport motorcycle based on this platform (likely to be), it might be called F 450 RR. A supersport motorcycle allegedly from BMW Motorrad has been too.
Sticking with the teased BMW F 450 R (name not confirmed), it was teased officially on their social media handles. The caption of this teaser mentions that this motorcycle will debut next Thursday on 1st of October, 2026, 5 PM CEST. Caption also mentions “Enhanced With AI”, suggesting final production-spec bike might look slightly different than what has been teased.
We can see a muscular and sporty silhouette in the teaser. It could be positioned on the same or slightly modified steel trellis frame as F 450 GS where engine is a stressed member. Wheels look similar to the5-spoke elements seen in F 450 GS. There are massive tank shrouds along with sporty-looking headlight setup which could be populated by LEDs.
What to expect?
Fuel tank shape is chiseled and has massive tank shrouds where radiator setup will be mounted. Split seat setup looks like it is scooped up for low seat height and pillion section is raised with a pronounced step. There doesn’t seem to be a visible exhaust end-cannister, suggesting an underbelly system.
Wide handlebars with upright posture for rider, USD telescopic front forks, rear mono-shock, 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and navigation, single disc brake at front and rear with dual-channel ABS, traction control, ride modes, cruise control and other attributes are expected.
The same 420cc parallel-twin engine with liquid cooling is expected to power BMW’s upcoming street naked motorcycle. There is a possibility of BMW offering ERC (Easy Ride Clutch) with F 450 R, like we saw and experienced in . This engine is rated at 48 bhp of peak power and 43 Nm of peak torque.
