In Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh, the court has sentenced the accused in the case of attempted rape and murder of a minor girl. The court has sentenced accused Bhim Kumar to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 30 thousand. This punishment was given by the court of Additional Sessions Judge Court No. 1 Shakti Singh. The accused tried to rape a village girl four years ago. When he failed, he killed her.
The case is of December 2020 in Bahariabad police station area. Here a person living in the village had filed a complaint in the police station and filed a case. It was told by the victim that his 17 year old daughter had gone to the fields in the morning. But when she did not return even after a long time, his wife started searching for her daughter.

After a lot of searching for the girl in the village, she was found lying at a place about 200 meters away. When I saw him, blood was coming out of his mouth, ears and throat. After this he shouted and called the people nearby and when the villagers saw the girl, she was already dead. After which they brought his dead body home and informed the police about this incident. The police had registered a case of murder against an unknown person in this case.
Eight witnesses presented, court sentenced
During the police investigation, the name of a person named Bhim Kumar from the same village came to light. The police arrested the accused Bhim Kumar and sent him to jail and the charge sheet was sent to the court. A total of eight witnesses were presented during the trial. After hearing the assistant government advocate from the prosecution side and the defense side, the court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 in the murder case.
Also, in the case of attempt to rape, 10 years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 10,000, both the sentences will run concurrently. After the sentencing, the police took the accused into their custody and sent him to jail.
