This happened while Punjab Kings were batting. The big thing is that Priyansh Arya was the reason for the blood shed in the stadium. Now you must be wondering how Priyansh Arya became the cause of bleeding? So it happened that there was no scuffle or any kind of conflict involved in the blood that was shed in the stadium. Rather, this happened due to the six hit by Priyansh Arya, on which an elderly man sitting in the stadium got badly injured and he bled.
Priyansh Arya’s six drew blood from Punjab Kings fan
Priyansh Arya scored 29 runs in 11 balls against Rajasthan Royals, which included 5 fours and one six. That single six he hit proved fatal for the elderly fan of Punjab Kings sitting in the stadium. On the six hit by Priyansh, the ball went straight and hit the face of that elderly cricket fan. The ball hit the area between the eyes and nose. The result was that the place where the ball hit became bloody.
Medical treatment was immediately given to the injured fan.
After Priyansh Arya was badly injured on a six, the medical team present at the stadium immediately examined the person and treated him. He bandaged them, which stopped the bleeding. Generally, IPL officials are not directly responsible for any injury or damage caused to anyone inside the stadium. This is also written in the ticket rules. But, the organizers do caution the spectators about any kind of risk. Under the medical protocol, along with their primary examination, they are also helped in taking them to the hospital if needed.
In such cases, many times we have seen those players also helping the injured spectators. Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli are examples of this, who have helped in the treatment of cricket fans injured by their shots or have gone to them after the match and asked about their condition and even apologized.
