Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 10 (Desk): BJP leader Vinay Sahasrabuddhe stated that the party’s ‘Sankalp Patra’ have “taken care” of every section of society.
The BJP released its manifesto earlier in the day, promising a total of 25 assurances to the people of the state if elected to power for another term.
Speaking to Desk, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe also underscored party’s priority to senior citizens.
“We have compiled all the suggestions through a crowdsourcing mechanism, and every section of society has approached us, given their suggestions. We analysed them through some 18 different committees and then this has come about. So, it is a painstakingly prepared document. It is not just a compilation of some suggestions. We have applied our minds. We have taken care of every section of society,” Vinay Sahasrabuddhe said.
“Ours could be the first party that has some provisions for senior citizens and there is a huge number of senior citizens in our country. All these things are very innovative. It reflects our out-of-the box approach and we are looking towards a bright future for this state and to that end, we have taken care of the aspirations of every other section of society,” he added.

When asked about the anti-conversion law for the state, BJP leader Sahasrabuddhe said, “Our Constitution doesn’t allow any forcible conversion and other things that later on find that women are lured under the duress or maybe by showing some promise of marriage and other things, and all kinds of problems then come about and people have seen such incidents. So, in that context, it is required that we revisit the kind of legal provisions today and, if required, as we have promised, come out with a more stringent law to prevent such forcible conversions.”
The BJP’s manifesto, released by Amit Shah and other leaders in Mumbai, promises Rs 2,100 to women every month, a loan waiver of up to 15,000 for farmers, including a 20 percent subsidy on MSP, stability on prices of essential commodities, and a reduction in electricity bills, among other assurances.
For food security, the party has said they will provide free food grains to low-income families through the Akshya Anna Yojana.
In terms of healthcare, the BJP has promised Vivekanada Youth Health Card and annual health check-ups for young people. A policy for senior citizens with Aadhar-enabled services and dedicated Outpatient Departments.
Additionally, it has promised interest-free loans for up to 15 lakh to encourage entrepreneurship, the establishment of the Chjhhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Aspiration Centre in every district and conducting a skill census across the state.
For rural development, the construction of roads in 45,000 villages is promised. (Desk)
