BJP leader Kirit Somaiya lodged an FIR against 72 mosques in Maharashtra, what is the reason?

In Maharashtra, CM Devendra Fadnavis had said to play loudspeakers in the prescribed decibel border at religious places. Warned that permission would be canceled if not done. Many statements have come out after this instruction. In this episode, now BJP leader and former MP Kirit Somaiya has lodged a police complaint against 72 mosques of Mankhurd Govandi in Mumbai.

On this matter, BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said that on April 5, I had lodged a complaint at Shivaji Nagar Police Station in Govandi that unauthorized loudspeakers have been installed on 72 mosques. He claimed that these loudspeakers were imposed without any legal permission, which is a clear violation of the rules related to sound control in public places.

The police also accepted it and we have demanded that action should be taken against those who install illegal loudspeakers on mosques. Playing loudspeakers illegally, not following the decision of the Mumbai High Court, it will not be tolerated in Mumbai.

List of shared on social media

Kirit Somaiya has shared a copy of an RTI on social media in this case, in which the names of mosques have been given where loudspeakers are being used. Apart from this, he wrote that every day the horn is playing loudly. No mosque has taken permission for loudspeakers/horn. We have filed a complaint at Shivaji Nagar Police Station yesterday. Action will be taken from tomorrow.

Somaiya has been raising the issue for the last several months

BJP leader Somaiya has been active about this matter for the last several months and is picking up from the body. Even before this, he has filed similar complaints in many parts of Mumbai and has been constantly demanding strict action from the concerned administration. Now in such a situation, it has to be seen what action the police takes on Somaiya’s complaint.
