‘Oops, that clean body carved out of marble… people who see it call it Taj-Mahal.’
If someone’s beauty has to be expressed in words, then Urdu poets and the stories written by them are often remembered… like this couplet by Qateel Shifai which describes the beauty of a beautiful woman. But there are some faces in Hindi cinema whose beauty cannot be expressed in words. If you agree with me, I will say that I have never seen the beauty and elegance that Madhubala once had. But yes, there is definitely another face which catches our eye. That face is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Today is Aishwarya’s birthday. Today, on the special occasion of his birthday, we will tell you some things related to Ash’s life about which you might hardly know.
On 1 November 1973, a baby girl is born to marine engineer Krishnaraj Rai and writer Vrinda Rai in Mangalore, Karnataka. The girl is named Aishwarya. Aishwarya also has an elder brother whose name is Aditya. Aish got a lot of benefits from his writer mother. Good manners and values were inculcated right from childhood. Being born in Karnataka, Aish speaks Telugu language comfortably but apart from this she also knows Kannada, Hindi, Marathi, English and Tamil. Aishwarya’s early education took place in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Later his family came and settled in Mumbai. In Mumbai, he studied at Arya Vidya Mandir, Santa Cruz and later at D.G. Ruparel College, Matunga.
first modeling job
Along with studies, Ash also got many options for modeling. She was very beautiful since childhood. Blue eyes and sharp face… there is a different glow on his face. Along with studies, she also did modeling. Ash got her first modeling job from Camlin Company when she was studying in class ninth. After this, Ash also did ads for Coke, Frooti and Pepsi. It was decided in my mind that I wanted to do modeling, so Ash thought of contesting for Miss World. The journey was quite long but Ash kept crossing every milestone. Aishwarya won the Miss World title in the same year after being the runner-up of the Miss India contest in 1994.
There is a different story of meeting Rekha…
After winning the Miss World title, Aish became a well-known face in the country. He never looked back after this. After Miss World, Aish got to know not only the country but also the foreign countries. People used to stand in queues for hours to meet him and get a glimpse. By the way, do you know that Aish first met Rekha in Bollywood and there was a very interesting story behind it. She first met Rekha when she was in high school and was a model. When she was at a grocery store with her mother, Aishwarya was tapped on the shoulder by Rekha from behind and Rekha recognized her from her modeling advertisements. At that time Aish did not know that in future she too would emerge as a brilliant actress.
That iconic pair of ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’
In the year 1994, Aish made his debut but in a South film. She worked in Mani Ratnam’s 1997 Tamil film Iruvar and made her Hindi film debut in the same year with ‘Aur Pyar Ho Gaya’. After this came his film which changed everything in Ash’s life. The year was 1999 and the film was ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. Salman Khan and Ajay Devgan were in this film with Aishwarya. Even though Nandini had chosen Vanraj on screen, a different pair was being formed behind the screen. The discussion about Salman and Aish’s dating was in full swing. Even before this, Aish’s name was linked with his co-star Vivek Oberoi. Everyone knows about the story of Salman-Ash and Vivek. But let us tell you something about Ash which very few people know.
