Himachal BJP President Rajeev Bindal, while replying to Minister Vikramaditya Singh, said that he does not need any ‘certificate’ from Congress. Citing the public’s decision in the recent elections, Bindal cornered the Congress government on employment and other promises.
Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [भारत]July 8 (ANI): BJP Himachal Pradesh president Rajeev Bindal has hit back at state Public Works Minister Vikramaditya Singh, saying neither he nor the BJP needs any “certificate” from the Congress leader. Bindal said he has served the people of Himachal Pradesh as an elected representative for 35 years, and the trust of the voters is the only proof he needs.
Election results gave answer to Congress
Speaking to ANI, he pointed to the recent Panchayati Raj, urban local body and municipal corporation elections and said the results have already given a clear message to the Congress and Vikramaditya Singh. “The Congress party and Vikramaditya Singh have already received a befitting reply from the people in the recent Panchayati Raj, Urban Local Body and Municipal Corporation elections. According to Dr. Bindal, the Congress’s consecutive electoral defeats have disappointed its leaders, and this disappointment is now reflected in their irresponsible statements.” He further said that such rhetoric cannot divert public attention from the failures of the state government.
Government cornered on unemployment and unfulfilled promises
Bindal accused the Congress government of causing immense hardship to the people of Himachal Pradesh in the last four years. He said, “The biggest betrayal has been with the unemployed youth of the state. Before the elections, Congress had promised five lakh employment opportunities and one lakh government jobs. However, despite being in power, the government has failed to fulfill even these basic commitments. He said the youth of Himachal Pradesh are demanding answers, while the government is trying to change the narrative instead of addressing its failures.”
Congress cornered on Ram Mandir issue
Coming to the Ram Mandir issue, Bindal said the country is well aware of Congress’s historical position on the issue. “The entire nation is aware of the historic stand of the Congress party. He said the construction of the Ram temple on the birthplace of Lord Ram has become possible only after centuries of struggle and sacrifices of thousands of devotees. He alleged that the Congress party, from top to bottom, continuously attempted to obstruct the construction of the temple for the sake of appeasement politics,” he said.
He claimed that the party is now trying to present itself as a Ram devotee, a change which is clearly understood by the public. Bindal said, “The same party is trying to portray itself as a supporter of Lord Ram, which the people of the country clearly understand.”
Bindal said the Congress government should answer for its unfulfilled promises, rising unemployment and failures of governance. “Instead of making baseless political comments, the Congress government should answer for its unfulfilled promises, rising unemployment and failures in governance. The BJP will continue to raise people-related issues and hold the Congress government accountable for every promise and every commitment that it has failed to fulfill,” he added. (ANI)
