The Additional Chief Secretary along with officials of Bihar Sports Department discussed in detail about the Sapak Takra World Cup event in Patna today. He informed that the sports department has completed preparations for hosting 20 countries and international players. This prestigious tournament will be held from 20 to 25 March 2025 at Pataliputra Sports Complex in Patna.
It has been told by the Sports Department that in this event, international level sports facilities, necessary facilities for players, security management and other arrangements related to the event have been completed. This is a type of world -class event. This will give Bihar a new identity on the International Sports Forum. Local players will get a boost.
Last date of application extended till March 15
Additional Chief Secretary directed that the last date for application of Gram Panchayat and Nagar Panchayat Sports Clubs has been extended till 15 March 2025. He informed that the gram panchayats who have not been able to apply yet, now they have the opportunity to apply. The purpose of this initiative is to receive maximum applications from all gram panchayats and Nagar Panchayats. Applications have been received from most panchayats, but for those who are still pending, this is another chance.
Khelo India Youth Games organized in 5 districts
Sports infrastructure development in Khelo India Youth Games and five districts – Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Rajgir, Gaya and Patna is also a priority. To inspect the progress of these projects, Additional Chief Secretary himself will visit the site with the Director General and Sports Director of Bihar State Sports Authority.
Control through dashboard will be controlled
The Sports Department will develop a new dashboard to ensure the real -time monitoring of various sports infrastructure projects in Bihar. Through this dashboard, District Sports Officer and other field officers will regularly share the real-time images of sports infrastructure and maintenance.
