If you don’t believe then you can see in Araria district of Bihar. Here in Samaul Haat of Tiraskund Panchayat on Friday, a shopkeeper cut off the nose of a woman living in the neighborhood. The accused committed this crime just because he did not repay the loan of Rs 15. On receiving the information, the police registered a case against the accused shopkeeper and his son.
The woman injured in this incident has been identified as Bulbul Khatoon (25 years), resident of Tiraskund Samaul. He is currently admitted to the hospital, where his condition is said to be critical. Bulbul’s husband Mohammad Imtiaz and mother Asmeena Khatoon told in the complaint given to the police that they had sent their daughter to the neighboring shop to buy some goods. There was already an outstanding of Rs 15, so the shopkeeper and his son started quarreling with his daughter.

His daughter tried to assure the accused that the loan would be repaid this month, but the accused started assaulting her. Meanwhile, the shopkeeper hit his daughter on the nose with an axe. After this incident, the accused closed the shop and fled from the spot. Here, his daughter fell on the ground in a blood soaked condition and started writhing in pain. On receiving information from the people in the neighborhood, they took their daughter to the hospital, where the doctors admitted her considering her condition.

On receiving the information, the police also reached the spot and after recording the statement of his daughter, registered a case. According to Forbesganj police station in-charge Raghavendra Kumar Singh, the police is investigating the matter. The accused are still absconding, hence the search for them has been intensified. On the other hand, the doctors treating the injured woman said that due to the cut of the nose, there was a lot of blood loss. The broken nose will have to be repaired. In such a situation, it may take some time for the wound to heal.
