Bihar: Police jeep overturned while chasing sand smuggler, 6 constables injured

An accident occurred with a police jeep in Banka, Bihar, when the police came out on patrol. The police car was chasing the mafia. Then the car became uncontrolled and overturned. The police went to stop the illegal business of sand. Six policemen were injured in this accident, who have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. In fact, Barahat police station in Banka district had received information that illegal business of sand is being done in the police station area. After receiving the information, the police came into action and left for the spot.

But the patrol jeep of the police going to stop the illegal sand business overturned and this accident happened. About six policemen, including PTC Awadhesh Kumar, constables Ashok Kumar, Sanjay Kumar and police station manager, were injured in the incident. All were referred to the local hospital for treatment and then Banka for better treatment, where they are being treated.

Patrol jeep overturned uncontrollably

The incident took place from Bhurna of Barahat police station area near the garden of Tihar village. In the morning, many tractors carrying illegal sand were passing through this route, whose police had received secret information. As soon as the information was received, the patrol team reached the spot. On seeing the police car, the tractor drivers started running at high speed. The police chased these tractors. In an attempt to overtake, the patrol jeep overturned uncontrollably at a sudden turn.

Police engaged in investigating the case

The injured policemen include driver constable Arun Kumar DSP guards. According to the information, two government drivers were present in the police station. Despite this, the soldier Arun Kumar left a patrol vehicle in a hurry on secret information. Regarding this entire incident, Barahat Police Station Deepak Paswan said that a tractor laden with illegal sand was reported. This accident happened during the action. Now the matter is being investigated.
