A vehicle included in the convoy of Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan has met with an accident in Rohtas, Bihar. This vehicle was a police pilot van, which was picking up the minister and taking him from Kaimur to Patna. The pilot driver has died in this accident. While four policemen have been seriously injured. He was immediately taken to the nearest hospital, from where considering his condition, he was referred to Patna. The incident occurred on Monday night at around 11:30 pm.
It is fortunate that the minister’s car narrowly escaped this accident. According to the information, Minority Welfare Minister Jama Khan had come to Kaimur on Monday to attend a program. Late at night he was returning to Patna with his convoy. The police pilot van was driving in the front and the minister’s car was driving right behind it. There were other vehicles behind it. While passing through Rohtas district, suddenly something happened in Parasthua police station area that the driver of the pilot van lost control of the vehicle and the vehicle crashed.

The pilot’s driver, home guard Jamaluddin Khan, died in this accident. Four policemen sitting in this van were seriously injured. The injured policemen were immediately taken to Sadar Hospital, where doctors, after first aid, sent three policemen to Sasaram Trauma Center for further treatment, while one policeman was referred to Patna AIIMS. The injured policemen have been identified as Ramesh Kumar, Manoj Kumar, Archana Kumari, Rani Kumari.

According to Rohtas Police, all the policemen are deployed in Dehri Police Line and it was from here that the Minister had gone to escort Jama Khan. On receiving information about the accident, Shahabad Range DIG Naveen Chandra Jha and Rohtas SP Vineet Kumar reached Sasaram Trauma Center and inquired about the well-being of the injured. These officers instructed Civil Surgeon Dr. KN Tiwari for better treatment. SP Vineet Kumar said that the cause of the accident is being investigated.
