A major accident took place in the metro tunnel under construction in Patna, the capital of Bihar. The brakes of the loco pickup machine failed in the metro tunnel and ran over the workers. Two laborers died in this accident. At the same time, the rescue team has rescued a labourer. He has been admitted to the hospital for treatment, where his condition remains critical.
This accident happened on Monday night. The work of building an underground tunnel for Patna Metro is going on at Ashok Rajpath. It is being told that during this time the brake of the loco pickup machine failed in the tunnel. Then the loco pickup machine moved ahead, trampling the workers. Three laborers were seriously injured in this accident, out of which two died on the spot. The accident happened near NIT turn of the capital.
Here, as soon as information about the accident was received, there was a stir. The rescue operation has started immediately. The police officer who reached the spot said that this accident happened due to some kind of malfunction in the machine in the tunnel or failure of brakes. A laborer has been admitted to the hospital. While two laborers are reported to have died in the tunnel itself.
