The family had taken a loan of Rs 50 thousand. Which he was unable to collect. So he decided to sell the child and then sold it for nine thousand rupees. Police took action in the case and recovered the child from the house of the accused.
In Pachira Panchayat area of Raniganj police station area of Araria district, a mother sold her one and a half year old child after being troubled by the installment of group loan. Mo Harun, resident of Ward No. 6, and his wife had taken a loan of fifty thousand rupees from the finance company. At the same time, the woman and her family were unable to deposit the loan amount. The agents of the finance company were continuously pressurizing the woman to deposit the installment.
One and a half year old son sold for nine thousand rupees
Troubled by this, the woman decided to sell her one and a half year old child. To get rid of the installment amount, the woman sold her one and a half year old son Gurfan for nine thousand rupees. As soon as information about the incident was received, Jagran Kalyan Bharti Forbesganj President Sanjay Kumar informed the police about the matter. As soon as the matter was known, Raniganj police came into action.
Police handed over the child to the Child Welfare Committee
While taking action in the case, the police reached the house of the accused Mo Arif, resident of Ward-10 Dumariya, who bought the child and then recovered the child from there and brought it with them. At the same time, the police also arrested the accused. The police is making necessary inquiries of the accused and the child’s father. Giving information about the case, Raniganj police station incharge Nirmal Kumar said that the police have recovered the child after coming to the notice of the case. Taking action in the case, the police has handed over the child to the Child Welfare Committee, Araria.
