Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Pragati Yatra has gifted historical development schemes for Purnia division. During this visit, many schemes related to industrial development, flood security, and educational facilities have been announced in Purnia, Katihar, Kishanganj, Araria and Bhagalpur districts, which will directly benefit the large population of the region. The main objective of these schemes is to empower the industrial structure of the region, provide protection from floods and improve the educational sector, so that the local economy is promoted and permanent improvements in the lifestyle of the people.
Under the Pragati Yatra, special measures have been taken to speed up industrial development in various districts of Purnia division. New industrial areas will be constructed in Katihar and Kishanganj, where small and medium industries will be promoted. In addition, special financial assistance and training centers will be opened for startups.
Several schemes for embankment construction and flood protection
Many areas of Purnia division struggle with flood problems, causing huge losses to farmers and local residents every year. To provide a permanent solution to this issue, it is planned to construct embankments.
The Chief Minister said that strong embankments will be built on the banks of the important rivers of the region, which will provide protection from floods. This will protect agricultural land and villages from flood damage. The construction of embankments in flood affected areas will be an important step for the development of the sector, which will improve the lives of farmers as well as make the entire area safe.
Gift of medical college and other facilities
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar gave Purnia a medical college, which will give the students of the area an opportunity to get higher medical education and improve the quality of health services. The establishment of a medical college in Araria was also announced, which will give local students a chance to make a career in the medical field. Along with this, a sports ground in Araria will also be constructed, which will give opportunity to the youth interested in sports. Kishanganj will get an engineering college, which will give students better options in the field of technical education.
In addition, there are plans to build a footoverbridge in Kishanganj, which will increase the traffic facility and improve security. The famous Kamakhya Temple of Purnia division will now be given the status of a state fair, which will provide better facilities for the devotees coming to this religious place and will promote regional tourism.
Strong steps towards developed Bihar
Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the government is giving priority to inclusive and sustainable development in every district of Bihar. There will be a widespread improvement in the social and economic situation of Purnia division through industrial development, embankment construction, and improvement in the educational sector and the dream of Bihar will be realized to become a self -sufficient state.
Effective implementation of these schemes will directly benefit more than three crore people of Purnia division. The expansion of industrial activities in the region will increase employment opportunities, due to flood protection, the local economy will get stability, and the creation of educational institutions will provide better education to the youth.
Many schemes have been approved by cabinet
During the Pragati Yatra, work is being done rapidly to bring the announcements made by the Chief Minister to the ground. Many schemes have also received approval from the cabinet. Administrative officials have been entrusted with the responsibility of regular monitoring and execution of works, so that transparency is maintained and the plans are completed on time.
