Bigg Boss 16’ contestant and Rajasthani dancer Gori Nagori has approached cybercrime authorities after her official Facebook page was allegedly hacked, with the accused reportedly demanding Rs 2 lakh to restore access.
Gori has filed a complaint with the cybercrime authorities and is awaiting action as officials work to identify the person responsible and help regain control of the account.
Addressing the incident, Gori said losing access to one social media account could not diminish the identity she had built through years of work and the support of her fans.
“Ek page delete karne se Gori Nagori ko kuch nahi ho sakta. Mera hausla, meri mehnat aur mere fans ka pyaar kisi ek Facebook page se kahin zyada bada hai. Page hack hua hai, meri pehchaan nahi. Main jald hi aur mazbooti ke saath wapas aaungi,” she said.
According to the actress-dancer, the person allegedly behind the hack demanded Rs 2 lakh in exchange for returning control of the page.
A message allegedly sent by the accused on WhatsApp read, “Paisa doge toh page vaapis kar dunga, agar page vaapis chaahiye toh bolo. Kisi aur ke zariye page vaapis karwaya toh page dobaara disable kar dunga. Jitni baar vaapis loge, utni baar disable karunga.”
The alleged threat stated that the account would be disabled again if Gori regained access through another person or method without paying the demanded amount.
The incident has brought renewed attention to social media security, particularly for public figures whose accounts have large audiences and can be targeted for unauthorised access or extortion attempts.
