Big update on 8th pay commission, fitment factor will not increase!

Ever since the new Pay Commission was approved by the government. Since then, new updates related to it are coming out. The 8th Pay Commission is expected to be implemented next year. Recently, the Central Government has increased DA, after which these speculations are being made. Now the government will not increase the fitment factor in the 8th Pay Commission. Let us understand the reason behind this.

According to the report of NDTV Profit, preparations are being made by the government to merge 50 percent of DA in the basic salary of central employees. If this happens, the demand for more fitment factor in the 8th Pay Commission will be softened and the government will also increase the less fitment factor. The reason behind this is that now the basic salary of employees is 18,000 thousand rupees. After the DA merge, it will increase to Rs 27,000. The increase in salary will go before the Pay Commission is implemented. Therefore, this will affect the demand of fitment factor.

Merge may be da

The central government had made a rule under the 5th Pay Commission that if the DA goes more than 50 percent, then what is given in the basic salary. The government also did this in the year 2004. However, this system was not considered in the 6th Pay Commission. It was not considered even in the 7th Pay Commission. But this time there are estimates that the government will merge the DA with basic salary. If this time the DA and the basic salary will be merged, the basic salary of the employees will increase, which will affect the possibility of increasing the fitment factor.

Fitment factor

The fitment factor is a multiplier, so that the government increases the salary in the pay commission coming through multiplies according to the existing salary. However, the increase in salary does not just depend on the fitment factor. Nevertheless, it affects the salary increase. The government implemented 2.57 fitments in the 7th Pay Commission. Whereas this time there is a demand to implement 2.86 fitment factor on behalf of employees.
