Big rebellion in TMC! Meeting of rebel MPs in Delhi, entry of Suvendu Adhikari increased the stir. TMC Rebels Challenge Mamata Banerjee Claim To Be Real Party Amid Major Split

TMC is on the verge of collapse after losing power in West Bengal. Rebel MPs angry with Abhishek Banerjee are claiming ‘real TMC’ with the support of BJP. In response, Mamata Banerjee has made a major reshuffle in the party organization.

New Delhi: The internal strife that started in Trinamool Congress (TMC) after losing 15 years of power in West Bengal has now come to the fore and the party is on the verge of disintegration. Rebel MPs are holding an important meeting in Delhi today. BJP leader and Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, who is engaged in uniting these rebels, will also attend this meeting. With the support of BJP, this rebel group is calling itself the ‘real TMC’ and is preparing to submit the letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker tomorrow.

This entire matter is exactly the same as what happened in the West Bengal Assembly some time ago. There 58 rebel TMC MLAs had formed a separate opposition group, which was also recognized by the Speaker. Now the rebel MPs in the Lok Sabha are planning to do something similar. The main reason for this rebellion is said to be the increasing influence of Mamata Banerjee’s nephew and party’s National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee, due to which the old leaders of the party are angry.

Mamta made a big reshuffle in the party

Amidst this rebellion, Mamata Banerjee has also taken a big step. He has made fresh changes in TMC by completely sidelining the leaders who are angry with the party and have left the organization. Saugata Roy and Jyotipriya Mallik have been included in the National Working Committee. At the same time, the rebels who have left the party have been removed from their posts. Sayani Ghosh and Sudip Bandopadhyay have been relieved of their responsibilities. Big leaders like Mahua Moitra and Biman Banerjee participated in this meeting virtually through Zoom.

This is a major reshuffle in Trinamool Congress amid internal fights in the party. Major changes have also been made in different wings and local units of the party. Youth leader Arnab Banerjee has been made the state Trinamool Youth Congress president, while Kunal Ghosh has been appointed organizational district president of North Kolkata. These new decisions were approved in the meeting of the National Working Committee of the party. Apart from this, Mossarraf Hossain has been elected as the Chairman of the Minority Cell and Alifa Ahmed as the Chairman of the Women’s Wing (Mahila Morcha).
