Big news for MP farmers, CM Mohan Yadav’s big plan on irrigation and dairy. Cm Mohan Yadav Gwalior Advanced Agriculture Workshop Mp Dairy Production Natural Farming Update

While interacting with the farmers in Gwalior, Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced natural farming, animal husbandry, dairy, irrigation, agricultural debt relief and hi-tech nursery project.

Bhopal/Gwalior. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav participated in the divisional workshop on advanced agriculture organized in Gwalior on July 6. In this program organized on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee, he interacted directly with the farmers and described animal husbandry along with agriculture as the most effective means of increasing income. The Chief Minister said that the income of farmers should not depend on only one crop, but multiple sources of income can be developed by adopting multi-crop farming, natural farming and modern animal husbandry.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister also performed Bhoomi Pujan through remote mode of the first phase of the state-of-the-art hi-tech nursery and floriculture garden to be built at Khurairi and Jahangirpur in Gwalior at a cost of about Rs 13 crore under the National Agricultural Development Scheme. Also distributed benefits to farmers under various schemes of Horticulture, Fisheries and Agriculture Department.

Target to make MP number-1 in milk production in five years

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that at present Madhya Pradesh is at third place in the country in terms of milk production. The aim of the government is to make the state the number-1 state of the country in this field in the next five years. He said that under the National Dairy Development Scheme, continuous assistance is being provided to Sanchi Milk Union including Gwalior Milk Union, positive results are being seen.

Irrigation area reached 50 lakh hectares, now target of 100 lakh hectares

The Chief Minister said that there has been a significant increase in irrigation capacity in the state. Whereas in the year 2003, there was irrigation facility in only seven and a half lakh hectare area, now it has increased to about 50 lakh hectare. The government aims to take it to 100 lakh hectares. He said that Chambal-Parvati-Kalisindh and Ken-Betwa river linking projects will help in achieving this goal. He also expressed gratitude on behalf of the people of the state to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for approving these projects.

Farmers will get the whole year’s time to repay agricultural loans

Giving great relief to the farmers, the Chief Minister said that now they will not be obliged to deposit agricultural loans till March 31. The government has decided to give the farmers a whole year’s time to repay the loans. He said that during the Farmer Welfare Year, the government is continuously taking new decisions while giving priority to farming, animal husbandry and farmers’ facilities.

Government’s special focus on cow protection and indigenous breed promotion

The Chief Minister said that mother cow can never be considered a stray. With this thinking in mind, the state government is paying special attention to cow conservation and promotion of indigenous breed of cows. He told that the old window system operated for destitute cows in urban areas has been abolished and now cow sheds are being constructed on a large scale. He said that on the lines of Lal Tipara Gaushala of Gwalior, big cow shelters are also being developed in cities like Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain and Jabalpur.

Farmers doing natural farming shared their success experiences

In the workshop, many progressive farmers shared their experiences related to natural and organic farming. The Chief Minister called all the farmers on the stage and honored and encouraged them. Farmer Pran Singh Mathur, resident of Bilua in Gwalior district, said that he is doing successful farming through natural farming. He has developed new varieties of guava like “Bilaua-22” and “Bilaua-Red”, which have also received scientific recognition and patent. Till now he has given training in natural farming to more than 50 thousand farmers. Similarly, farmer Brijendra Rawat of Devra village told that he has left chemical farming and adopted completely natural farming. His wife has received five awards at the national level in the field of natural farming.

Launch of integrated farming system and multi-level farming model

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav also inaugurated the Integrated Farming System Unit and Multi-Level Farming Method Unit at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University. In this model, activities like crop production, horticulture, dairy, goat rearing, poultry farming, beekeeping, mushroom production and organic fertilizer manufacturing have been integrated together. In this, the waste generated from one activity becomes a useful resource for another activity, which reduces costs and creates new opportunities to increase the income of farmers.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav distributed helmets, gave message of road safety

During the programme, the Chief Minister distributed helmets to about 50 people under the road safety campaign. He appealed to everyone to wear helmet while driving and inspire others to do the same.

Also participated in integrated agriculture model and ‘Ek Peed Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

The Chief Minister visited the multi-purpose pond prepared under the integrated farming system in the Agricultural University campus. As soon as he put the grain in the pond, the ducks came to him. In this model, poultry farming, fish farming and duck farming have been scientifically combined in a single structure. The droppings of chicken chicks fall into the pond, which is used by fish and ducks as food. This ensures better utilization of resources and additional income. At the end of the program, the Chief Minister planted a mango sapling under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign and called upon the people of the state to plant as many saplings as possible and take care of them.
