Big game on the last day of nomination in Maharashtra, Ajit Pawar did not accept BJP’s pressure on Nawab Malik!

Despite political pressure from Bharatiya Janata Party, Ajit Pawar has made powerful Mumbai leader Nawab Malik the candidate from Mankhurd assembly seat. On the last day of nomination, Nawab Malik has been handed over NCP’s A and B forms for Mankhurd seat. Nawab Malik has received this A and B form from Ajit group.

Meaning Nawab will now be the National Democratic Alliance candidate from this seat. This is being called a big political game.

Actually, BJP was continuously putting pressure on not giving ticket to Anushaktinagar MLA Nawab Malik. Due to this pressure, Ajit initially canceled his ticket from this seat and gave the symbol to his daughter Sana Malik.

Meanwhile, Nawab Malik announced to file nomination from Mankhurd. After this stand of Nawab, BJP Mumbai President Ashish Shellar publicly stated that we cannot make any Dawood supporter a candidate.

After this statement of Shellar, Ajit reached Delhi, where he had a long discussion with the BJP high command on candidate selection.

Nawab Malik has gone to jail

Nawab Malik, who was a minister in the Mahavikas Aghadi government, has gone to jail on charges of taking money from Dawood Ibrahim and people associated with him. He got bail on these charges this year. After coming from jail, Nawab Malik left Sharad Pawar and joined Ajit.

Nawab Malik was criticized a lot for going with Ajit. Nawab Malik, who rules Mumbai politics, is considered a great leader of Muslims. Nawab Malik has also been the Mumbai President of NCP.

Contest against SP’s Abu Azmi

India alliance has supported SP’s Abu Azmi from Mankhurd Shivajinagar. Firebrand Abu Azmi has won the elections from this seat in 2019. Abu Azmi is also the state president of Akhilesh Yadav’s party in Maharashtra.

Considering the number of Muslim voters in Mankhurd, parties field Muslim candidates from here.
