Northern Challengers, UP Brij Stars, Rajasthan Regals, MP Tigers, Mumbai Marines and Southern Spartans teams are participating in the Big Cricket League. Irfan Pathan, Yusuf Pathan, Suresh Raina, Shikhar Dhawan, Imran Tahir and Tillakaratne Dilshan have been made the captains of these teams. Famous names like Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon, Rasha Thadani and Supreme Court lawyer Sana Raees Khan have bought franchise teams of this league. The tournament will start from December 12 in Surat city of Gujarat.

Big Cricket League Commissioner and former veteran Indian batsman Dilip Vengsarkar also inaugurated the tournament trophy during this period.
