Of the top 10 companies in the country, 9 companies lost more than Rs 2 lakh crore last week. FMCG company Hindustan Unilever suffered the most loss. On the other hand, the decline in the market cap of the country’s largest company Reliance Industries and Tata Consultancy Services is not stopping. Mukesh Ambani’s company has suffered losses for the fourth consecutive week. Due to which the market cap of the company has come below Rs 18 lakh crore. Whereas at the beginning of the month this figure was more than Rs 20 lakh crore.

Talking about government companies, the market cap of SBI, the country’s largest bank in the top 10, suffered loss. The name of the country’s largest insurance company LIC is also in this list. Both the government institutions have suffered a combined loss of Rs 55 thousand crores. Among these 10 companies, only one organization was seen which is making profit and its market cap has crossed Rs 13 lakh crore. Yes, the country’s largest private lender HDFC Bank has gained about Rs 47 thousand crore in its market cap last week. Which companies suffered how much loss?

  1. The country’s largest FMCG company Hindustan Unilever suffered a loss of Rs 44,195.81 crore. After which the market cap of the company reduced by Rs 6,38,066.75 crore to Rs 5,93,870.94 crore.
  2. The country’s largest company Reliance Industries suffered a loss of Rs 41,994.54 crore. After which the market cap of the company reduced by Rs 18,38,721.14 crore to Rs 17,96,726.60 crore.
  3. The country’s largest government lender SBI has suffered a loss of Rs 35,117.72 crore. After which the market cap of the bank has decreased by Rs 7,31,773.56 crore to Rs 6,96,655.84 crore.
  4. Airtel, one of the country’s largest telecom companies, has suffered a loss of Rs 24,108.72 crore. After which the market cap of the company decreased by Rs 9,71,707.61 crore to Rs 9,47,598.89 crore.
  5. The country’s largest service provider TCS suffered a loss of Rs 23,137.67 crore. After which the market cap of the company reduced by Rs 14,91,321.40 crore to Rs 14,68,183.73 crore.
  6. The country’s largest insurance company LIC suffered a loss of Rs 19,797.24 crore. After which the market cap of the company reduced by Rs 5,91,418.91 crore to Rs 5,71,621.67 crore.
  7. Infosys, one of the country’s largest IT companies, has made a profit of Rs 10,629.49 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased by Rs 7,80,126.10 crore to Rs 7,69,496.61 crore.
  8. ITC, one of the country’s largest FMCG companies, suffered a loss of Rs 5,690.96 crore. After which the market cap of the company reduced by Rs 6,08,682.29 crore to Rs 6,02,991.33 crore.
  9. ICICI Bank, the country’s second largest private lender, suffered a loss of Rs 5280.11 crore. After which the market cap of the company decreased by Rs 8,90,191.38 to Rs 8,84,911.27 crore.
  10. The country’s largest private lender HDFC Bank made a profit of Rs 46,891.13 crore. After which the market cap of the company increased by Rs 12,82,848.30 to Rs 13,29,739.43 crore.
  11. There has been a loss of Rs 2,09,952.26 crore in the combined market cap of 9 companies out of the top 10 companies of the country.

2 percent decline in stock market

Last week there was a decline of more than 2 percent in the stock market. Bombay Stock Exchange’s main index Sensex fell by 1,626.89 points or 2.01 percent to 79,402.29 points. Whereas on Friday, a fall of 662.87 points was seen in the Sensex. In the month of October, Sensex has seen a decline of about 6 percent. On the other hand, the main index of National Stock Exchange, Nifty, has seen a decline of 2.86 percent i.e. 711.70 points and the index has come down to 24,180.80 points. A decline of 6.30 percent has been seen in Nifty in the month of October.
