Chief Minister Yogi presented a picture of this change while inaugurating two modern security buildings built for the Gorakhnath temple area in Gorakhpur. He told how in the last few years, the security environment in the state has been improved by strengthening the police system.

Modern arrangements for the security of Gorakhnath temple

Two new security buildings built for the Gorakhnath temple area in Gorakhpur are now completely ready. “Security is the first condition of good governance”

More than 2.19 lakh police recruited in 9 years

The Chief Minister said that before 2017, a large number of posts were vacant in the police department. But in the last 9 years, more than 2 lakh 19 thousand policemen were recruited. This change is not limited to just increasing the numbers, but is part of strengthening the entire system.

Big jump in training capacity

Earlier, only about 3 thousand policemen could get training at a time. Now this capacity has increased to 60 thousand. Due to this, newly recruited soldiers are getting better training, which directly impacts law and order.

Better facilities for policemen

CM Yogi also talked about an important issue, the living conditions of policemen. He said that earlier there were no good residential facilities in police lines, police stations and posts. Many policemen lived in rented houses, which led to many problems. Now the government has built new barracks and provided residential facilities in the police lines, due to which the life of policemen has improved and they are able to work with more focus.

Now police stations will be more secure and stronger

The Chief Minister said that earlier many police stations did not have proper arrangements to keep criminals, due to which they used to run away. But now the situation has changed, modern lockup system in the police stations, presence of adequate police force, better infrastructure for security, he said in a strict tone that now whoever tries to breach the security, the police will take immediate action against him.

What has changed after 2017?

According to CM Yogi, three major changes have taken place:

  1. timely police recruitment
  2. Modern and large scale training
  3. Better facilities and infrastructure

Together, these three have strengthened the law and order in the state.

The new security buildings built in Gorakhpur are not just a construction project but a symbol of the changing police system. If policemen work with good training and facilities, the general public will directly benefit from it. This message of CM Yogi is clear, good governance is possible only when security is strong.
