Preparations for the 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship 2026, which is going to be held in Delhi, have now intensified. In this series, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday unveiled the official mascot of the tournament ‘Peacock’. Inspired by India’s national bird peacock, this mascot is considered a symbol of the country’s cultural heritage, energy and diversity. The capital is now set to host players and officials from more than 25 Commonwealth countries.
‘Peacock’ will become the new identity of the tournament
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that ‘Peacock’ is not just a mascot but a symbol of India’s rich tradition, colors and sportsmanship. This mascot will also reflect the cultural identity of India in front of the players and sports lovers coming from all over the world.
On this occasion, Cabinet Minister Ashish Sood and officials of Table Tennis Federation were also present. During the program, preparations to make the event successful were also discussed.

The 22nd Commonwealth Table Tennis Championship will be held from 27 July to 2 August 2026 at Tyagraj Stadium, Delhi. Players, officials and representatives from more than 25 Commonwealth countries will participate in this international competition.
