The state government is continuously taking strict steps for conservation of natural resources, transparent mineral management and effective control on illegal mining and transportation. According to this policy, Collector Shri Vijay Dayaram K. As per the instructions of the District Administration, effective action is being taken continuously against illegal excavation and transportation of minerals in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi district. Under the continuous monitoring and intensive investigation campaign of the District Mineral Flying Squad, 1 tipper and 3 tractors involved in illegal mineral transportation have been seized.
4 vehicles seized in illegal mineral transportation
During the investigation conducted by the District Mineral Flying Squad in various areas of the district, 2 tractors were seized while illegally transporting mineral sand from Silpahari area, 1 tractor while illegally transporting mineral ballast from Sadhwani area and 1 tipper while illegally transporting mineral soil and mud from Bhadaura area were seized. All the vehicles have been seized as per rules and legal action has been initiated against the respective vehicle owners under the provisions of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act.
Big action against illegal business
- The district administration has clarified that the seized vehicles will be released as per the rules only after the prescribed penalty and settlement amount is deposited in the respective mineral item. The administration has also indicated that the campaign against illegal mineral excavation and transportation in the district will continue and strict action will be taken against those who violate the rules.
- Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai, the state government is giving top priority to conservation of mineral wealth, maintaining environmental balance and security of government revenue. For this purpose, regular monitoring, intensive investigation and prompt action is being ensured in the districts, so that illegal activities can be effectively curbed.
- Due to the continuous action being taken by the District Mineral Flying Squad in the district, effective control is being established on the people involved in illegal mineral business. This activism of the administration is not only ensuring the conservation of natural resources, but is also encouraging legitimate mineral business. The district administration has also appealed to the citizens to immediately inform the administration about any information regarding illegal mineral excavation and transportation, so that public participation can be ensured in the protection of natural resources and maintaining law and order.
