Police has achieved great success in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. On Thursday, near Bodhin Tola on the Chhattisgarh border, the C60 commando of the police killed the notorious Naxalite who martyred 15 policemen by blasting them. In the encounter that lasted for about an hour, C60 commandos killed two Naxalites. The name of one of the killed Naxalites is Durgesh Vatti who was the deputy commander while the other was his companion.
Actually, Gadchiroli SP had received information that Durgesh who is a notorious Naxalite. The same person who carried out the blast in 2019 and martyred 15 Maharashtra Police personnel, has gathered with a large group of his comrades ten kilometers ahead of Bodhintola on the Chhattisgarh border. Where he is planning a big conspiracy and attack. They also have many heavy and modern weapons.

After which, on the instructions of the SP, C-60 commandos started the search operation in the area. As soon as the Naxalites got wind of the arrival of the police, they started firing. The police first asked them to surrender but the firing did not stop. After this, two Naxalites were killed in retaliatory action by the police. A huge quantity of arms and ammunition including one AK-47 was recovered from the Naxalites. Dead bodies of two Naxalites were found. The search operation is still going on.
Dozens of cases are registered against Durgesh
Durgesh was a notorious Naxalite, dozens of cases were registered against him, but in the year 2019, he carried out many such incidents which shocked the entire country. He had blasted the police van that was out for patrolling with a cooker bomb, in which 15 police personnel were martyred.
Landmine explosion in Chhattisgarh, BSF soldier martyred
On the other hand, in Naxal affected Kanker district of Chhattisgarh, Naxalites exploded a landmine on Thursday, a BSF soldier was martyred. This is the second such incident in the last two days. This incident took place near Sadak Tola village under Partapur police station area. BSF and district police teams were patrolling at the time of the incident.
