Mumbai: Actress Bhumi Pednekar is set to star in a new horror film franchise titled ‘Jaani Dushman’, produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films and Prabhleen Sandhu’s Almighty Motion Picture.
The film, directed by Arshad Syed, is slated for a 2027 release.
Set in the United Kingdom, ‘Jaani Dushman’ is described as an emotional mother-daughter story that blends supernatural elements with hidden family secrets. Bhushan Kumar expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating that Almighty Motion Picture is a valued creative partner. He also highlighted the expertise of action specialist Peter Pedrero, whose involvement is expected to add a significant dimension to the project. Kumar hopes the film will offer an engaging theatrical experience and explore the horror genre in a fresh way.
Prabhleen Sandhu of Almighty Motion Picture echoed Kumar’s sentiments, emphasizing the special nature of working with T-Series again. She noted that ‘Jaani Dushman’ reunites her with Robbie Grewal and Arshad Syed, with whom she previously created a popular paranormal thriller series. Sandhu believes that with Bhumi Pednekar’s strong performance and Pedrero’s international stunt expertise, the film aims to redefine Indian horror. Robbie Grewal will serve as Creative Producer, and Peter Pedrero, known for his work on films like ‘Harry Potter’ and ‘Fast & Furious’, will handle the action and stunts. The film, officially titled ‘Jaani Dushman – Darr Ke Aage Maut Hai’, is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Prabhleen Sandhu, and Ajay Singhal, with Shiv Chanana and Sunita Vinod Vyas as co-producers.
