Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor recently shared a heartwarming anecdote about megastar Amitabh Bachchan, highlighting his unwavering dedication as a father.
Speaking on ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati,’ hosted by Bachchan himself, Ranbir revealed how Big B would make extraordinary efforts to be present for his son Abhishek Bachchan’s important life moments, despite his demanding work schedule.
Recalling a conversation with Abhishek, Ranbir recounted, “Abhishek always told me that when he was studying in Switzerland, despite how busy you were, you would take a flight there for any important event, even a school basketball game. You’d watch the game for two hours and then fly straight back to the studio.” This illustrates Bachchan’s commitment to his paternal responsibilities, ensuring he was a constant presence in his son’s life.
Amitabh Bachchan responded to Ranbir’s revelation by stating it is a father’s duty to inspire and support their children. He emphasized, “When there is love, there is also responsibility.” Bachchan also touched upon his approach to Abhishek’s professional challenges, explaining that he never criticized his son, instead offering blessings and encouragement, acknowledging the already immense public scrutiny.
