Wamiqa Gabbi is often compared to Aishwarya Rai and Katrina Kaif due to her light-colored eyes and striking facial features. While some suggest she resembles a young Aishwarya Rai, others compare her charm to Katrina Kaif.
During the Bhooth Bangla release, the comparisons again surfaced. In a new interview, Akshay Kumar, who worked with Wamiqa in the Priyadarshan-directed film, reacted to the comparisons and said that she has her own identity. He also said that she brings a unique presence to the screen and has carved out a distinct identity for herself in the industry after dealing with a lot of struggle.
Akshay Kumar on Wamiqa Gabbi being compared with Aishwarya, Katrina
Amid the comparisons, social media users expected that the new duo Akshay Kumar and Wamiqa Gabbi would be a hit just like Akshay and Katrina Kaif. Reacting to the comparisons, Akshay Kumar said in a YouTube podcast conversation with Shubhankar Mishra that Wamiqa Gabbi had her own struggle and she is doing it on her own way.
Akshay said, “Her (Wamiqa) eyes are like Aishwarya Rai but she has her own identity. She is doing it her own way. She came to the film industry after a lot of struggle. She worked in Punjabi films and now she is doing in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and every genre.”
