The talented actor, who plays the lead protagonist in the ZEE TV show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, shared his views about Bhai Dooj and stated, “Bhai Dooj is that one day when my little sister turns into this adorable mix of tradition and mischief! We start the day with her performing the pooja, and I can’t help but smile at her serious face.”

He added, “I still remember when she was young, she would give me a list of things she wanted as her gift and my mom used to take me to buy them for her. I think these are the little things that you cherish all your life. What I love most about her is how she’s always been my biggest cheerleader, and she was the happiest when I bagged my upcoming show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile. She is the happiest person around me and so cheerful, I wouldn’t trade our bond for anything in the world.”

HISTORY AND SIGNIFICANCE OF BHAI DOOJ

For those unaware, The festival of Bhai Dooj is deeply rooted in a myth involving Yamraj, the God of Death, and his sister Yami (also known as Yamuna). The story recounts how Yamraj visited Yami after a prolonged absence, and she greeted him warmly, offering an elaborate meal and heartfelt prayers for his well-being. Moved by her affection, Yamraj granted her a boon, proclaiming that any brother honored in this manner on Bhai Dooj would enjoy a long, prosperous life.

As a result, this festival has come to symbolize protection and blessings for brothers, ensuring their longevity and good fortune.
