Bennett University’s ‘Sporticon 2.0’ also proved to be a part of this effort, in which more than a thousand student athletes from many universities across the country participated and gave strong performance and expressed good hopes for the future.
University games have been taking place in India for many years and Bennett University has also made an important contribution in this direction by starting ‘Sporticon’. This time it was the second season of these games. This time there was a huge increase in the number of players as compared to the last season, which is enough to show the success of this event and its importance. These games, which lasted for 4 days, have now ended.
Bigger, more powerful event
This time a total of 51 universities from different parts of the country participated in Sporticon 2.0, whose more than 1200 students participated in different sports. This time a total of 14 sports were included in Sporticon, which included famous games like cricket, football and tennis, while Olympic games like table tennis, shot put, discus throw were also included. OP Jindal University of Sonipat, Haryana raised the flag of success. This university won gold medals in cricket, tennis, table tennis and chess.

Sports necessary for developed India: Thakur
Union Sports Minister Anurag Thakur also participated in the inauguration of these games. Thakur was its chief guest. Anurag Thakur became a part of the beginning of this event through video conferencing and like always, once again he gave a message to the youth to make sports an important part of their life. Referring to government schemes like ‘Khelo India’ and TOPS, he said that sports will also play an important role in making a developed India.
Vineet Jain, Chancellor of Bennett University and MD of Times Group, also praised the players participating in Sporticon 2.0 and described this event as a means of uniting every section of the society.
