According to the victim’s family, the attackers allegedly looted gold jewellery, cash and 25 sheep from the house before fleeing the scene. They also reportedly broke into the house and damaged household items, including cupboards and televisions.
Yallappa’s parents, who were at home when the incident occurred, fled in fear for their lives but fortunately escaped unharmed.
The family has alleged that the accused fled after carrying out the vandalism and theft.
