Champions Trophy: The ICC Champions Trophy was last hosted by England in 2017. After which ICC did not allow this tournament to be organized. In the year 2017, Pakistan cricket team became the champion of Champions Trophy. Pak team had defeated India in the final match.

Captain changed before Champions Trophy
Let us tell you that the Champions Trophy 2025 is to be played in February to be hosted by Pakistan. But even before the Champions Trophy, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has taken a big decision and made the 32-year-old wicketkeeper of the team the captain for white ball cricket. PCB has now handed over the captaincy of the team to Mohammad Rizwan.
Due to which Rizwan will now be seen captaining the team in the Champions Trophy. While Salman Agha Ali has been made the vice-captain of the team. This decision has been taken because the performance of the Pakistan team in the last 2 ICC tournaments has been worse than average.
