UP Brij Stars has won the title of Big Cricket League Season 2. UP Brij Stars defeated Gujarat Diamonds by 5 runs in a thrilling final played at Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex, Greater Noida. The final match played between the two best teams of the league completely succeeded in living up to the expectations of the spectators. This match kept the cricket fans captivated with its thrill till the last moment.
Thanks to Chirag Gandhi, UP Brij Stars scored 166 runs
After winning the toss in the match, Gujarat Diamonds put UP Brij Stars to bat first. UP Brij Stars, playing first, scored 166 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Chirag Gandhi scored the most runs for UP Brij Stars. He played a brilliant inning of 76 runs in 45 balls and helped the team reach the fighting total in an important match like the final.
Gujarat Diamonds’ innings ended at 161 runs.
Now Gujarat Diamonds had a target of 167 runs. His struggle to achieve this goal continued till the end but still victory remained 5 runs away. For Gujarat Diamonds, Jessel Kariya scored 48 runs in 40 balls, while Adela Gururatne made an important contribution of 35 runs in 25 balls. But still Gujarat’s innings ended at 161 runs only.
Buzzer Challenge during the final match
Many exciting buzzer challenges were also seen in the final match. Hardik took the challenge of three consecutive dot balls twice. Manoj chose the challenge of 30 runs, while Vishal Gurjar and Jatin Saini took the challenge of three dot balls. Whereas Jatin Mavi accepted the challenges of two wickets and three wickets. He also left a special impression in the final by successfully completing the 3-wicket challenge.
With the victory over Gujarat Diamonds, UP Brij Stars won the glittering trophy of Big Cricket League Season 2 and registered their name in golden letters in the history of the tournament.
