Taking a big step regarding BAT-BMS and Epoch Li-ion apps related to China, the Central Government has directed to remove them from Google Play Store. Through these apps, there is a possibility of remotely controlling or shutting down the battery management system (BMS) of e-rickshaws, which can pose a serious threat to road safety and cyber security. Cyber experts say that many cheap BMS systems do not have adequate security features, hence extra vigilance and strong cyber security measures are necessary in such cases.
