The happiness of many families turned into mourning in a moment due to the sinking of a cruise ship in Bargi Dam located in Jabalpur, the cultural capital of Madhya Pradesh. According to preliminary information, the cruise lost balance during a strong storm and sank in the middle of the dam. Tickets were issued for a total of 29 passengers in the cruise. Local administration and rescue teams became active immediately after the accident.

Relief operation continues

Rescue teams have so far rescued 15 people, while the search for other missing passengers is ongoing. SDRF, police and administrative staff are carrying out operations on war footing on the spot. Jabalpur Collector and Superintendent of Police are continuously monitoring the situation.
