In Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, four youths surrounded a youth returning after watching Ramlila and beat him to death. The incident took place late Friday night in the Shahi police station area of Bareilly. On receiving the information, the police swung into action and took a young man into custody. The remaining three accused are being searched. The deceased has been identified as Ravi (26), a resident of Junahi village. Police have registered a case on the complaint of Ravi’s wife.
In the complaint given to the police, Ravi’s wife told that Ravi’s younger brother works in Khatauli, Meerut and has come to the village at this time. A few days ago, Amit had a dispute with Aman and Akash who lived in his village. When Amit returned home on Friday to celebrate the festival, he informed his family about it. After this Ravi tried to talk to Aman and Akash, but both of them instead threatened him.
Accusations against half a dozen people
Said that they will get an answer to this dispute. According to Bareilly Police, in this sequence on Friday night, Ravi was returning home after watching Ramlila. Meanwhile, on the way, Aman, Akash, Subhash, Shripal and their associates surrounded him and attacked him brutally with sticks and iron rods. It is alleged that during this period the accused also opened fire. When the family members reached the spot after receiving the information, the accused also attacked them.
One accused arrested
Deepu, Sonu and Gaurav of Ravi’s family were injured in this attack. All the injured were immediately taken to the hospital, where Ravi died during treatment. According to Bareilly’s Additional SP North Mukesh Chandra Mishra, Ravi’s wife has filed an FIR against four people. The police have intensified the investigation of the case by taking one accused into custody. Police are searching for the remaining three accused.
