Therefore, before going to the bank, definitely check the information about holidays in your city.

However, it is a matter of relief that despite the bank branches remaining closed, digital banking services like UPI, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, ATM, NEFT and RTGS will continue to operate as before. That means you can send money online, pay bills and do many important banking tasks sitting at home.

Banks will remain open from 13 to 15 July

If you have to go to the bank branch and do any work, like depositing a cheque, withdrawing cash, making a draft or doing any work related to any document, then 13th July (Monday), 14th July (Tuesday) and 15th July (Wednesday) are the best days. During these three days, banks will remain open at normal times in most of the states of the country.

Banks will remain closed in these cities on 16th July

  • On July 16 (Thursday), banks will remain closed in some states due to local festivals.
  • There will be a holiday in banks in Dehradun due to Harela festival.
  • Banks will also remain closed in Imphal on the occasion of Harela.
  • There will be a holiday in banks due to Rath Yatra (Kang/Rathjatra) in Bhubaneswar.

Banks will not open here on July 17

Banks will remain closed in Shillong on July 17 (Friday) on the occasion of the death anniversary of U Tirot Singh.

Bank holiday in Gangtok on 18th July

There will be a holiday in banks on July 18 (Saturday) in Gangtok due to Drukpa Tshe-ji festival.

Banks closed across the country on 19th July

Due to weekly holiday in the entire country, all banks will remain closed on 19th July (Sunday).

Online banking services will remain operational
