Bangladeshis created disturbance in Murshidabad? Know what the Home Ministry got information

The Union Home Ministry has been informed about the initial investigation of violent clashes erupted in Murshidabad district of West Bengal, which is allegedly feared to have involvement of Bangladeshi miscreants. This information has come out from quoting sources. Actually, violence took place in Suti, Dhulian and Jangipur areas of Murshidabad. The violence took place on 12 and 13 April amid protests against the revised Waqf Act.

Sources say that the Home Ministry has received initial information from the Union Agencies on the violence, fearing a role in the violence of Bangladeshi infiltrators. At the same time, some families are forced to flee Malda from Murshidabad due to illegal Bangladeshis.

Bangladeshi infiltrators did not get verification done

According to preliminary information received by the Ministry of Home Affairs, the negligence of the local administration has become a major reason for illegal Bangladeshis being active in violent areas. According to sources, these Bangladeshi intruders who were illegally entered, were not verified according to the rules and due to this they became active in the violence affected areas. As a result, some families had to leave their area from there. After this, central paramilitary forces were deployed in violent areas.

The central government is constantly assessing the situation of Bengal violence and in the same manner the central agency is asking for its report at regular intervals. Apart from this, the central government is constantly in touch with the state government and is keeping an eye on the situation. Home Secretary is monitoring the situation of Bengal.

Mamta’s claim, laws will not be implemented in the state

In Bengal, widespread resentment over the Waqf Amendment Act spread unrest. The protesters claimed that these changes violate the rights and religious freedom of minorities. In response to the increasing tension, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday announced that her government would not implement the revised law in the state. Despite the assurance, violence continued in some parts of the district, which led to legal and political reactions. Acting on the petition of BJP leader and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari, the Calcutta High Court ordered the deployment of Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) to restore law and order in violence affected areas.
