This creates a wonderful scene of Lord Nandi continuously anointing Lord Shiva with his mouth. This stream then flows into the sacred Teppakulam (Kalyani) of the temple and joins it.

Despite studies being done on the source of this water that flows continuously throughout the year, its actual source still remains a mystery.
