Maharaj died without giving successor

Then on 1 March 1889, he was made the night commander of the most prestigious order of the Indian Empire. Despite all these fames and achievements, the huge shortage of Maharaja Harendra Singh was that he had no children. While his father, he married Shiva Ratna Kunwar, but if he could not become a father, he married Janaki Kunwar a few days later. Even after this, he had no children and finally he died on 26 March 1893 without giving a successor to Bettiah Raj.

After his death, Queen Shiva Ratna Kunwar took over the rule, but he also died on 24 March 1896. In such a situation, his second Queen Janaki Kunwar became the warish of the entire Raj property. Queen Janaki Kunwar was very beautiful. His lips and cheeks were as if the juice was dripping, the eyes were such that the eyes did not move and the whole body wreaked havoc. Bettiah Rani dies in 1954
Even after all this, he did not have the ability to handle the government. Therefore, the British Raj took his state property in his possession. After this, Queen Janaki Kunwar came from Bettiah to the then Allahabad i.e. Prayagraj and here she built a grand kothi and started living. He died here on 27 November 1954 and after that it was taken into possession by Kothi and his assets. His kothi in about 22 bighas is still present here, which has been mentioned by Harivansh Rai Bachchan. This kothi is currently under the possession of the government.
