A hired groom was caught during a mass marriage in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. A mass marriage was organized by the government on Tuesday at Indradev Institute. 252 couples got married in this ceremony, which included 193 Hindu and 59 Muslim couples. During this time, the administration also found a groom who was brought on rent for the wedding. As soon as the matter came to light, there was panic among the officials.
The cases of fraud are not showing any signs of decreasing in Uttar Pradesh. A similar case of fraud has come to light during a mass marriage in Baghpat district. Weddings were organized here under the Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme. Hundreds of brides and grooms and their families had reached the venue. Everyone was busy preparing for the wedding. The district administration was also completing its paperwork.
Investigation was done after suspicion
Everything was going perfectly fine in the wedding ceremony. Meanwhile, the district administration team suspected a young man of being fake during the rounds. When the police stopped the young man’s procession and investigated, it came to light that the young man was not the groom. The police interrogated the young man strictly and he told that he had come on rent. However, even after it was proved to be fake, no legal action was taken against the youth.
Fake groom arrived for two thousand
Investigation has revealed that the young man had come posing as a fake groom for Rs. 2,000. At the same time, the young man had also got a fake Aadhar card made for the marriage. Regarding the matter, the District Probation Officer says that the young man who had applied for marriage. Did not attend that wedding. After this, people from the bride’s side brought the young man on rent. After the matter came to light, the young man was returned back.
