In Bhagalpur, Bihar, a baba raped a girl in an ashram. Naveen baba forcibly took the girl to a room in the ashram, then he burnt the girl’s hand with an iron and raped her. Naveen baba also threatened the girl that no one should know about this.
This case is of Mehi Ashram of Pirpainti in Bhagalpur, where Naveen Baba, a resident of the ashram, raped a girl who had come to listen to the satsang and then tortured her badly when she protested and said that if she tells this to anyone, he will kill her. The victim had gone to the ashram with her sister on the occasion of Baba’s birth anniversary, during which Baba committed the crime after getting the opportunity.
The victim told the story of Baba’s misdeed
The victim said, “Baba has raped me. I am Baba’s disciple and I had gone to the ashram with my sister on May 22 on his birth anniversary. When I was leaving after the program was over, my sister’s daughter went to the washroom. Meanwhile, Naveen Baba filled my maang with sindoor and then dragged me into the room. Baba raped me and when I resisted, he burnt my hand with iron.”
The victim said, “Baba had threatened me not to tell this to anyone. After the incident, I somehow stayed there overnight and reached home in the morning and told everything to my family. The victim said that Naveen Baba’s guru Bhagwatanand also molested me. Due to which I got scared. Hearing the story of this incident, the girl’s family members were shocked. Everyone reached the ashram in anger, but Baba’s disciples present there chased everyone away from there, and threatened them to face the consequences.
FIR was filed four days after the incident
After this, the victim along with her family reached Pirpainti police station, but the police did not take any written complaint against Baba and the victim was asked to go to the women’s police station. Four days after the incident, a case was registered in the women’s police station and the victim was medically examined.
This is the second case of rape in Bhagalpur within a week. A 7-year-old girl was raped by a Mahant in an ashram in Madhusudanpur, Nathnagar, Bhagalpur. The Baba raped the girl in the ashram when she was sent out of her house to look for her father. The police arrested him within 24 hours for this.
