Worship of Maa Siddhidatri
The ninth day of Navratri is dedicated to the worship of Mother Siddhidatri, who is considered the ninth form of Goddess Durga. The name Siddhidatri means the giver of spiritual and meditation forces. He is often shown sitting on the lotus and is believed to have killed the demon Mahishasura on this day, hence it is also known as ‘Mahanavami’.
