Filmmaker Venkatesh Maha, who made a strong impression with the grounded and authentic storytelling of C/O Kancharapalem, is once again returning with a story that promises to stay close to real life.
Titled Attahaasam, the upcoming film is being presented as another rooted and entertaining drama.
The film is slated for a Summer 2027 release. The title and first look of Attahaasam have now been unveiled, immediately creating curiosity about the world Maha is building this time.
The first-look poster features Venkatesh Maha in a police avatar alongside Sravanthi Peepakayala, while another intriguing pairing has Karthik Ratnam sharing the frame with Pavani Karanam.
Attahaasam once again reflects Venkatesh Maha’s preference for stories that feel authentic rather than formulaic.
From C/O Kancharapalem to his subsequent work, the filmmaker has shown a willingness to find drama, humour, and emotion in ordinary lives. With Attahaasam, he appears to be stepping into yet another interesting world.
Chinta Varalaxmi presents the film, while Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy and Rajashekar Reddy Chinta are producing it.
Chinta Vineesha Reddy serves as the co-producer. Venkatesh Maha has written and directed the film and also features in the cast. Smaran Sai is composing the music.
Attahaasam is being positioned as a real, rooted, and authentic entertainer set to arrive in Summer 2027.
