Sharad Pawar faction leader and former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh’s car was pelted with stones in Nagpur on Monday night, in which he was seriously injured. The politics of Maharashtra has become heated regarding this issue. At the same time, the statement of Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and senior BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis has come out on this matter. He says that the story of attack on Anil Deshmukh was created just to get sympathy.
Fadnavis said that what was revealed in the press conference of SP and IG shows that it is like the story of Salim-Javed which is completely scripted. He said that in olden times, this kind of story was a big hit. Similarly, this story has also been written so that people can get sympathy. He said that the attack has been exposed. The police should investigate this entire matter and reveal how this entire story of the attack was hatched.
‘Why was the glass not broken by an 8-10 kg stone?’
The Deputy Chief Minister said that if a stone weighing 8-10 kg was hit on the glass of the car then why did it not break, and also if the stone fell on the bonnet then why was there no scratch on the bonnet. There was no damage to the bonnet due to the stone being hit. How can this be possible? There was no damage to either thing.

‘If the stone was thrown from behind then how did it get hurt in front?’
Fadnavis questioned that the stone by which Anil Deshmukh was injured was thrown from behind, hence it should have caused injury to the back of his head from behind, but how did Deshmukh get injured in front. It happens only in Rajinikanth’s films that a stone thrown from behind hits a person in the front. He said how can a stone weighing one and a half kilos be found like this? How such a heavy stone resulted in only scratches is a big question. He clearly said that this story of attack has been created to gain sympathy after seeing the defeat in front.
Stones were pelted at the vehicle on Monday night.
Actually, this incident happened on former Home Minister Anil Deshmukh when he was returning to Katol after a public meeting in Narkhed village at around 8 pm. Then some people pelted stones at his car, due to which he suffered serious injuries on his head. He was taken to Katol Civil Hospital in an injured condition. There is fierce rhetoric going on between the ruling party and the opposition regarding this incident.
