Human rights activists in Kashmir have condemned reports of use of force by Pakistani authorities against civilians in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and appealed to the United Nations to intervene and hold accountability. Members of the ‘Association of Terror Victims’ in Kashmir protested outside the United Nations office and demanded justice for those affected by the recent violence. The organization’s chairperson Taslima Akhtar alleged that Pakistani security forces fired on civilians who were taking part in peaceful protests in PoJK.
