Dr. Uma Kumar, Head of the Department of Rheumatology of AIIMS, says that if the heat is excessive then it also affects rheumatic conditions. Pain, stiffness and swelling in joints are called rheumatic conditions. Experts say that it affects people in two ways, one is that their disease flares up.
