India defeated Australia by six runs in the fifth and last T20 match played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. With this, India won the five-match series 4-1. Mukesh Kumar also played an important role in helping Team India win this match. This right-arm fast bowler took three wickets for 32 runs in four overs. Ravi Bishnoi took two wickets for 29 runs in four overs. Akshar Patel bowled economically and gave only 14 runs in four overs and took one wicket. He also played a brilliant innings with the bat. Akshar scored 31 runs on 21 balls. In this innings he hit two fours and one six. Akshar was chosen player of the match for this performance.
