Apple factory will open in North after South, Foxconn done big planning

Foxconn, a iPhone maker for Apple, is preparing to open its second largest unit. Foxconn is thinking about taking 300 acres of land near Greater Noida in Uttar Pradesh. The company has units in Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Bangalore in India and is planning to spread its work in UP as well, which can make India Apple’s iPhone hub. The company is planning to open the unit in North India after South.

Foxconn is a contract manufacturing company, which makes many products other than Apple’s iPhone, it has units in India, but according to the Economics Times report, the company is preparing to increase its business and is planning to open the first manufacturing unit in UP.

Second largest unit

According to the report, this Foxconn unit can be larger than a company in Bengaluru and it can be the largest unit at the company’s global level. However, which products will be made in the plant, it is yet to be ascertained and discussion is going on with the government. The Government of India proposed 300 acres of land for the Foxconn Industrial Park project last year.

The company has selected the land there. Where HCL-Phuxcon took 50 acres of land for outsourced semiconductor assembly and Test (OSAT) facility. Foxconn wants to take the land with this 50 -acre piece for its Greater Noida plant. However, there is no official confirmation about the company’s plant and project yet.

Where will the unit open

According to the report, the land which has been fixed for the project is on the banks of the Yamuna Expressway. Yamuna Expressway connects Greater Noida to Agra. The work of this property looks at the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (Yeida). Which is near Jewar Airport being built in Greater Noida.
