Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has recently disclosed his assets, which are now worth a total of Rs 1.64 crore. Last year his total wealth was Rs 75.53 lakh. His wealth has increased more than double in one year. It is being told that the increase in CM’s wealth is due to his apartment in Dwarka, Delhi, the value of which is now around Rs 1.5 crore.
If we look at the assets of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar separately, he has Rs 22,552 in cash and Rs 49,202 in bank deposits. Apart from these, he has a Ford EcoSport car worth Rs 11.32 lakh. There is also jewelery including two gold rings and one silver ring worth Rs 1.28 lakh.
Nitish Kumar has cows and calves worth Rs 1.45 lakh
Notably, Nitish Kumar owns movable assets like 13 cows and 10 calves, which are worth Rs 1.45 lakh. The CM also has a treadmill, an exercise cycle and a microwave oven. The only immovable property owned by Nitish Kumar is an apartment in Dwarka, Delhi, which was originally purchased for Rs 13.78 lakh in 2004 and is now worth Rs 1.48 crore.
All MLAs and ministers disclosed their assets
Nitish Kumar’s government has made it mandatory for all cabinet ministers to disclose their assets and liabilities on the last day of each calendar year, strengthening transparency and accountability within the administration. On the last day of 2023, the CM himself along with the cabinet ministers disclosed their assets. All the MLA ministers have released the details of their assets on the website of Bihar Cabinet Secretariat.
How much property do Tejashwi and Tej Pratap have?
Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav has disclosed a total income of Rs 4.74 lakh for the financial year 2022-23. Apart from these, Tej Pratap, another minister in the state government and elder son of Lalu Yadav, has assets worth Rs 3.58 crore.
